  • Official Opening: Col. Littleton Private Stock Store

    October 29, 2013

The Col. Littleton Private Stock store opened today, October 29, at 9:30 a.m. at 113 Mill Street in downtown Lynnville.

The private stock concept has been a brainchild of mine for years, and I’m happy to be able to satisfy all of you who gravitate toward something different and unique.

Private Stock Store Display featuring branded leather No. 5 Dispatch Bag on Poplar wood harvest table.

The store features unique and one-of-a-kind items.

I make some of the items from exotic materials such as American alligator, some from hides that show unique cattle brands or special character and markings like nicks, scrapes, insect bites, barbed-wire scratches, surgical stitches, etc.  You’ll see rugged, aged leather items in the store as well as products made from different colors and textures than what is normally available in our line.  The Col. Littleton pocket knife collection is available in the store with some bone pieces bearing interesting color strata or markings.

Two Branded Leather No. 1943 Navigator Briefcases sitting on vintage metal trunk, Handmade pocket knives featuring various colored bone handles and brass bolsters. Branded Leather No. 42 Courier Bag and No. 1 Saddlebag Briefcase sitting on Cherry wood trunk. Vintage Glass Display Case featuring unique American Alligator No. 2 Eyeglass Case and American Alligator Bookmarks.

Occasionally, you’ll see cool vintage pieces that I’ve found on the trail or the end result of one of those mornings when I just woke up wanting to make something totally different.

You never know what you’ll find in the private stock store, but I can assure you it will be all about character and heritage and something you won’t find anywhere else.

I realize that a store opening in downtown Lynnville may not mean much to you if you’re in Poughkeepsie, New York or Albuquerque ... however, I haven't forgotten about you good people.

Select items from the Private Stock Collection are featured on our website from time to time.  Check back often to see what new items I’ve added.  Just remember, they are one of a kind; and when they’re gone, they’re gone forever.

Private Stock Store Display featuring branded leather briefcases, vintage style harvest tables, brown vintage western saddle, typewriter and pocket knife collection.

Private Stock Store display featuring vintage wooden mantel, repurposed round wooden table with glass top, wood and leather lounge chairs with matching foot stools, unique lamp made using brass gun shell casing and floor lamp made from vintage hand gas pump.

If you’re in the area, come by to see us.  We’re there on Tuesday through Saturdays – 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

I just purchased a belt loop cellhone case and wondered of you can make these with no metal in them. When going through security screens I know to put the phone in the basket, but it is a pain to have to remove the entire belt and case because any metal sets off the scanner. Ceramics or a good grade of plastic would be a welcome addition.
    Best wishes.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Tom. - Colonel

I bought 2 Spitfire pocket knives through third-party distributors of Col. Littleton's. Excellent for everyday carry: each has unique bone scales; and, the smooth, single-hand open, partially-serrated, polished steel blades are great for breaking down cardboard, whittling, cutting line, flowers, whatever. The pocket clip holds a good-sized wad of bills. Recently, I've been keeping an eye out for the replacement of my 35 year old, main leather briefcase. Looking hard at ones like the Navigator.
