If you’re an adventurous soul, you’ll love this bag.

From a busy day of navigating city sidewalks to the hiking trail, this versatile all-around bag with a rugged look and feel is styled for adventure.  The GP2 is an exceptional travel/touring bag, and you’ll love the hands-free freedom it gives you for shopping and browsing around.

Functionality and Design

You can wear this bag crossbody, across the shoulder, strapped around your waist; and, yes, it converts to a surprisingly roomy, lightweight backpack.  (See video above for easy conversion steps.)  Pockets on the back provide easy access to your phone and keys, and the super soft and comfy strap adjusts from 34-58”.  Two large interior compartments.

It’s All About The Look

“There are two things in which I strongly believe . . . (1) each day should be lived as an adventure and (2) there ‘ain’t’ no future in being ordinary.  I designed the GP2 after an antique, Swiss Army Bag I’ve had in my private collection for many years.  There’s nothing like it out there, and I can assure you there’s no way you’re going to look ordinary carrying it.  It has an eye-catching, expedition, ‘outdoorsey’ vibe that will set you apart from the crowd.”

The body of the bag is made of sturdy No. 8 Khaki cotton canvas and richly textured Tobacco Brown American Buffalo. The GP2 bag is trimmed in Vintage Brown American Steerhide which is hand laced across the front flap. All leather on the bag is edge stitched and edge coated – hallmarks of quality, long-lasting construction.  All hardware is solid brass.  The bag is appointed with an easy access, brass cinch buckle closure.

May be personalized with 3 initials on the brass oval plate on the flap.  9” (H) x 10 ¾” (W) x 4” (D) closed.  12” (H) open.

Handcrafted in the Col. Littleton Workshop, Lynnville TN USA.  Arrives in a protective, cotton canvas, drawstring bag with the Col. Littleton Logo.

  1. Quality is exactly what you’d expect from the Col. I bought this to use as my back pack because I love a canvas back pack and to that add American Buffalo!! Well, it’s stunning. This bag is not only for the ladies and that’s why I bought it. I’m sure it will get compliments just as my other Col bags. Thank you for the quality you continue to put out.

    • We’re so glad you love it Dana! Thank you for your five star review and kind words.

  2. I received this handbag as a Christmas gift after showing an Instagram post of it to my daughter. It was the best surprise! The bag is wonderful and I am already enjoying it. Everything about it is special and I know I’ll wear it for years to come!

  3. I just recently purchased this purse and I love it. The size is perfect and the quality is excellent. The pouch in the back is very handy and fits my iPhone 12 with room to spare. The opening is large enough to easily grab something that seems to always fall to the bottom of the bag. Also this company has excellent customer service and the people are very friendly and accommodating. I actually placed a second order for more items.

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steerhide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Three kinds of full-grain leather hides overlapping. In order left to right: Vintage Brown American Steerhide, Brown American Alligator, and Tobacco Brown American Buffalo

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
