No. 9B Leather Women’s Tote in Vintage Brown

This is probably the best feeling leather tote/handbag you’ll ever carry. We make the tote in our Col. Littleton Workshop of vintage brown, dry-milled leather which is first tanned in a small Tennessee tannery. Then comes the good part…it is tumbled in half-a-century old wooden barrels to achieve its incredibly soft and supple feel.

The No. 9B Tote carries…a lot. Plenty of room for your laptop, tablet, portfolio, etc. along with all the other stuff that women can’t leave home without. There’s an inside zippered pocket as well as a divided pocket for easy access to your phone, keys and other essentials magnetic snap closure.

This tote could well become your “go-to” bag. You’ll find that it patinas beautifully and improves in character with age and use over the years.

This Leather Women’s Tote measures 12″ H x 12″ W x 4″ D overall size.

May be personalized with three initials on the brass oval plate.

This item is also available in American Buffalo

  1. Drove 3 hours to visit the Col. Littleton store and was not disappointed. We’ve looked at other leather bags and none were the quality of this. The old saying is still true, you get what you pay for. This one will last and be handed down from generation to generation.

The staff!: Golly don’t you know they get tired of having to personalize all of those emails? Kudos to all of those sweet ladies!!!!
Hey! Moon pies! Only reason I order from the Colonel! LOL
Not only fun to deal with such an outstanding company but the products, without exception, are above top drawer!
The Colonel would fit in well with west Texan’s!

  6. There are few things in life that give me as much joy as giving someone a gift. Over the past year I purchased a 1942 attache, 3#25 portfolios and 1 #9 journal as gifts for coworkers and friends. I love these gifts for their quality and care that goes into each one. All of these were so appreciated and will be passed down and used for many years. With all the excitement around these gifts none compared to my wife opening her #9B tote Christmas morning. She uses it every day and I don’t think she has ever loved a gift I have given her as much as this. Thanks to Colonel Littleton for creating quality products and to Sarah who gives the world’s best service. Stop in and see her if you’re passing through. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

P.S. After visiting the store and listening to his latest CD I think Colonel Littleton should write a book “The world according to Colonel Littleton”.

Our Story

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
