American Made Leather Billfold, No. 4

This full-grain leather bifold wallet has a timeless, sophisticated look as well as functionality – including a compartment for bills, slots for four credit cards and one ID card, as well as two hidden pockets. Brings class to all your transactions – a must for any gentleman.

Some folks are just purists at heart, so we designed this classic folding wallet for traditional rear pocket carry. They called them “billfolds” when the Colonel was a boy, so that’s where this product got its name.

These wallets are handmade in Tennessee, USA from a special section of our vintage brown, hand-tanned, full-grain leather with lots of character. Lined in cognac calfskin.

  • Wallet dimension 3.25″ H x 4.25” W closed
  • Full-grain steerhide
  • Lined in cognac calfskin
  • Edge stitched for strength and durability
  • May be personalized with three embossed initials on lower right front
  • Warranted

  1. While many may be lured by cheap foreign crap and free delivery, I still insist on quality and made in America. You cannot buy a Rolex for the price of a Casio. The Colonel’s wallet billfold is made in America, by American workers, and well made with quality American materials. It’s expensive, but immeasurably worth it. And, you can feel good about your purchase, because you get more than a good product. Supporting the American economy, American workers and small businesses are the bonus that we earn when we buy products wearing the “Made in USA label.” The Colonel has a loyal customer here.

    • We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Thank you for this recognition and for your stellar review Dave!

  2. I am thoroughly impressed with the No. 4 wallet I ordered online. The first thing that stood out to me was the packaging and the thoughtful handwritten letter I received from Amanda thanking me for my purchase. That is always a very nice touch. On top of that, they sent me several other complimentary items that I can’t wait to use, one of which being the beautiful leather coaster that I will surely utilize! As for the wallet itself, I really love the look and smell of the full grain leather and it is certainly a beautiful piece that I will cherish for hopefully many years to come. This was my first purchase from the Col. and I will gladly be making many more after this experience. What they’re doing over there is really something special. Their customer service team made me feel extremely welcome as well. Thank you all so much!

    • Hi Nathan! Customer service is very important to us so we’re very glad to hear about your positive experience! We hope your Wallet serves you well for years to come. Thank you for your STELLAR review!

  3. After looking for sometime decided to replace my well worn wallet with the #4 Colonel wallet. I spoke with Tina and asked her to select one with some character and not just the typical leather appearance of the typical department store piece. She selectected a beautiful wallet that will surely only get better as it ages. The quality of the Colonel’s leather and the expert craftmanship speaks for itself with every new article I purchace. Thanks so much for your help Tina!

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steerhide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
