American Made Leather Billfold, No. 4

This full-grain leather bifold wallet has a timeless, sophisticated look as well as functionality – including a compartment for bills, slots for four credit cards and one ID card, as well as two hidden pockets. Brings class to all your transactions – a must for any gentleman.

Some folks are just purists at heart, so we designed this classic folding wallet for traditional rear pocket carry. They called them “billfolds” when the Colonel was a boy, so that’s where this product got its name.

These wallets are handmade at the Col. Littleton Workshop in Lynnville TN, USA from a special section of our vintage brown, hand-tanned, full-grain leather with lots of character. Lined in cognac calfskin.

  • Wallet dimension 3.25″ H x 4.25” W closed
  • Full-grain steerhide
  • Lined in cognac calfskin
  • Edge stitched for strength and durability
  • May be personalized with three embossed initials on lower right front

  1. Friendly staff helped me select the right wallet. Excellent workmanship on quality natural leather. No two are the same! I am already thinking about what to buy next.

  2. Great looking wallet; leather very smooth to touch; extra stuff in mail package was well received; Moon Pie was unreal and made a great dessert with glass of milk; need to figure out how to ship an RC cola with the moon pie – that would be the perfect touch!

  3. Can you ask for a more sleek and stylish wallet? I think not. I’ve had this wallet for over a year and a half and I plan to keep it for life! I am happy as a clam with purchasing the No. 4 Billfold and recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade from their current wallet!

  4. My wife and I will periodically take a Saturday drive over to visit the friendly folks at the Col. Littleton store in Lynnville, as it is in a beautiful part of Tennessee. I also love leather, so I naturally enjoy visiting the store to peruse all of their beautiful leather goods. Over the years I have fought back the desire to purchase the No. 4 Billfold Wallet, as I already had a wallet that was perfectly fine and functional. On one visit I was there to look at the new Bible covers and happened to walk over and check out the wallet section. One of the No. 4 Billfolds stood out to me due to the beautiful and unique natural pattern of the leather. It was love at first sight and I asked Charlene to go ahead and package it up for me as I knew that I had to have it. The wallet is a great size and extremely well made. I appreciate the fact that Col. Littleton makes his items here in America and I am proud to carry his brand. If you are ever near Lynnville, I highly recommend visiting their store. If you have any questions then Charlene, Joyce, McKenzie or any of the other ladies will be glad to help you.

  5. Looking forward to getting my No. 4 leather billfold… have always been a billfold/wallet person ’til about 3yrs ago and tried one of those magnetized leather money clip (made in Kerrville, TX area) and haven’t enjoyed it… so thanks, Judy, for taking care of an “oldie” like me that doesn’t like to order online… and most of all, thank you Pattie who we know as a good friend from AR years gone by and now works at Col Littleton and talked about CL to us and all the good folks there… and CL just got better when Pattie joined them!!!

Our Story

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
