Colonel: “Sometimes I think Memorial Day gets kinda shifted. And I think we kinda move through it and don’t really think about it like we should . . . about the price that was paid for the freedom we have. Sometimes we just think ‘Well that’s just what somebody’s got to do’ you know. Well, would we be willing to do the same thing? They paid the price and yet a lot of people don’t seem to give the respect to them that they should. What they did is certainly a part of history and the price that was paid for freedom.”
