  1. The Bentley Tote is what I would call the perfect shoulder bag! I get so many compliments on this bag. It’s beautiful and definitely a conversation piece!

  2. I love my Bentley tote! It was a gift from my husband, and I use it as a briefcase. I love it! It holds everything I need to carry, and it does it with style. I receive compliments on it quite often.

  3. I purchased a version from the Private Stock collection in the rugged leather with a brand. Leather is thick and sturdy, and attention to detail is first class. Use it for a briefcase (fits small laptops, tablets and standard size padfolios), and travel tote. Also great tote for liquor or wine bottles. Would highly recommend for man or woman. Ordered by phone and service was excellent.

  4. We took a day-trip to Lynnville today–have been wanting to shop “in person” at your store for a long time. How excited I am! I bought this Bentley bag, in the discontinued Saddle Tan color. After catalog-wishing for months, I had my mind made up with the Wayfarer Tote, but wow….after seeing the Bentley bag in person, it was a no-brainer for me! I like easy-access in purse styles, and this bag did it for me. All the awesome pockets and dividers are a plus, as I’m an “all my ducks in a row” kind of person. I feel like I bought a family heirloom treasure, and I can’t wait to carry it! (My husband is making me wait ’til Christmas morning. ;o)

Your store is sooo worth the trip, and everyone who assisted us went over-and-beyond the call of duty. Thank you for a grand shopping day!

  5. I bought my wife a handbag — not this one — that the Colonel no longer carries. It is incredibly good looking. The Colonel replaced the bag completely when one strap fell off while not in use. The service from Colonel Littleton was excellent. I wanted to leave this review somewhere, even though this was not the bag! Great job Colonel!

  6. This bag is great! I love how the leather continues to get softer the longer I have it! I use mine as my purse everyday and it holds everything I need and has plenty of room for extras. The small pockets inside are perfect for my phone and lipstick and the larger ones help keep things organized. The only things I would add are some “feet” and a closure.Even without those two things I love this bag!!

  7. Very impressed!
I love this bag! It is a great size for everyday use. The leather is thick and sturdy, great quality. The straps are just long enough to fit over the shoulder. I also love the pockets inside…they make it very easy to tote an ipad along with my other things. I would have preferred some kind of closure, but I still really love it.

Our Story

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
