No. 28 Personalized Leather Folder

Although the No. 28 Portfolio is a direct descendant of our always popular line of portfolios, this new premium design has many special features that will set you apart in the Boardroom or in any business venue.

“In the final analysis once the vision is established, value almost always equates to time and materials . . . the time it takes to make something and the materials from which it’s made. If you’re in search of a leather portfolio of the highest quality, I think you’ll have an appreciation for the No. 28 Portfolio.”

– Colonel Littleton

Construction and Extras

Colonel designed this new portfolio in our full-grain, wonderfully textured, rich Tobacco Brown American Buffalo and gave it nice contrast by trimming it in our Vintage Brown polished American Steerhide. Then, to elevate the quality even more, he fully lined it in Calfskin. Overall, these are stunningly handsome portfolios.

The interior features a diagonal slash pocket for stashing 8 ½” x 11” documents, tickets, receipts, etc. as well as pen/pencil and business card pockets. It includes a Colonel-designed 8 ½” x 11” ruled Memorandum Pad which is held in place by leather steerhide strips and may be reordered. It also accommodates standard 8 ½” x 11” ruled pads. The No. 28 Portfolio is edge-stitched for strength and durability and edge coated for a quality finish.

Make it Yours

Make it undeniably yours by personalizing it with 3 initials embossed on the front for a distinctive touch. Product packaging includes a cotton canvas, protective, drawstring dust bag and a gift box, both with the Col. Littleton Cameo Logo. Overall dimensions are 12”H x 9.5”W. Meticulously handcrafted in the Col. Littleton Workshop, Lynnville, TN USA.

When it comes to American Buffalo, Colonel says,
“Expect a leather that is unapologetically rugged with more character, nicks, scrapes and variations in color.”

  1. Wow is all I can say. Beautiful portfolio. Leather and workmanship are top notch! Packaging and the extras included with the product were several steps above what I expected. While not inexpensive, I expect this to last a lifetime and be passed down to my children.

    • Colonel’s hope is that our products have “staying power” so it is so good to hear of your plans to pass your Portfolio on to your children. Thank you so much for your stellar review David!

  2. “Buy once, Cry Once.”

As a Therapist, I am in the business of relationships. I spend all day talking with individuals about relationships; the ones that helped shape us, the ones that forged us, and the ones that made us desire to find something better for ourselves. I can tell you, if you havent already visited the shop… YOU NEED TO. The experience of walking into Col. Littleton was where I found a team of craftsman that understood that what they made was material, but what they sold was a relationship. It’s the understanding that this portfolio will outlive me, and that is when it’s use will turn to legacy in the hands of my children someday. The build is phenomenal, the craftsmanship is apparent, and I cant wait to write my life story with it.

  3. Very Impressed. I started my search for a nice portfolio online. Most results lead you straight to Amazon. For the websites with generic names, there was minimum order for a custom job. Even the ones that would do it left me feeling like I was being charged a premium for Walmart quality in the name of their product being leather and it being deemed “luxury” just because they said so. Amazon had multiple vendors, but I started noticing the portfolios were all the same. Multiple vendors selling the same piece of junk. All of this was coming from China.

I shifted thoughts and searched for something g specifically made in the US. This place popped up. Good reviews, good story, thoughtful website, pleasant people to talk to on the phone. They do not advertise being able to put a logo on an item, but I called and asked based on another review I read. Sure enough, they did. I paid to have a die created and that was it. Their proposed artwork of what it would look like was exactly what I got.

Unboxing was nice. Thoughtful packaging. In a box and in a nice cloth bag. If someone calls their product luxury, this should be expected. The portfolio is very beefy and thick. You wonder in the picture how it would feel in your hand and I can say it is very substantial. Much more than I was expecting. Very nice, clean stitch work. Very soft leather. The smell is amazing. The notepad is pretty cool.

I’m an accountant so I asked for them to put a logo that says “Bean Counter” on there. If you are an accountant too, ask to see it. I paid for the die, but if it benefits you, go for it.

It is pricey, but lots of other options were too. This was literally the only place I felt good about trading my money for something legitimately well made. Also, there was a cool leather coaster that came, but the win was the Moon Pie they sent along. I am super pumped to eat that at work tomorrow while rolling around with my portfolio

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steerhide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
