  1. I use these note cards a lot. Very thick and durable – will not crumple in back pocket of jeans or shirt pocket. I also own and would recommend to buy a No. 1 Note Card Case (Leather Holder which holds 7 note cards comfortably) which when put in back pocket of jeans will definitely not crumple. This also allows you to hold the leather holder in your hand to give you a writing surface to write on the note card, which is very handy dandy. Also I own No. 23 Pocket Journal, which holds 7 note cards and has a handy pocket. If you owned the No. 1 Note Card Case and No. 23 Pocket Journal, you could cover every scenario of which item you would need before you headed out for the day. The leather is so beautiful and versatile to any weather condition. Getting back to the Note Cards, they are so great and I guarantee you will order more and more after you see the quality and durability. You write a note on them and IT’S THERE TO STAY, it will not wash off or crumble. Happy Trails till we meet again.

  2. I’ve actually used these as “thank you” note cards. The quality of paper is good.

You should offer actual Col. Littleton thank you cards with personalized options. Handwritten notes are old school and a lost art but greatly appreciated by people who love dogs and horses and a smooth Tennesse whiskey on a cold winter’s eve.

  3. Love the feel of these cards. I’ve tried using regular index cards in my pocket journal, but they just don’t have the quality. Also love the fact that these cards still fit the phone joural that I’ve had for many year now. Great product!

  5. I am a fountain pen user which means not many if any regular index cards allow me to make notes without major feathering of the ink or bleed through. The paper in these journals is top notch for fountain pens with no bleed thru or feathering of the ink and all on a very thin card stock. Must be some of that high quality Japanese writing paper or something. Highly recommend…

  6. The refills make using my pocket journal even better. I have a consistent method of taking notes on the same stock which helps my memory. Thanks for the great quality in the No 23 journal and for making the refills available.

  7. I have used 3×5 cards for more than a decade to compile to-do lists, take meeting notes, and even as a last minute thank you note. The Col. Littleton cards are of much greater quality than can be found elsewhere. They arrived well packages and at my door in 48 hours!

  8. I added this along with the pocket journal that I gave my husband for his birthday. He commented how nice it was to have something to jot down quick notes or thoughts and have a one stop shop with the journal and note cards that all fit in the Pocket Journal. He loves everything about the Pocket Journal and Refill Cards. I must say the quality of your items is first class! I am sure my husband will be purchasing more Col. Littleton items in the future!

Our Story

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
