No. 11 Leather Composition Pocket

I am astounded by the number of people who use composition notebooks on a regular basis for business as well as literary pursuits. If you’re one of them, you may like the No. 11 Leather Composition Pocket which is perfectly sized to carry a standard composition notebook and comes fully loaded with the Col. Littleton No. 30 Composition Journal Register. Any standard composition notebook fits, but I think you’ll like the nice paper (160 ruled and center stitched pages – 80 sheets) in this one. Top flap folds over pockets.

It also provides a soft home for your tablet if you so desire. The smaller iPad Pro works well as do a number of other tablets. Just check the dimensions below to make sure your tablet fits.

Handcrafted in the Col. Littleton Workshop of full grain, vintage brown leather which has been dry milled for softness. Front inside panel provides pockets for business cards, pens, note cards, etc. Product packaging includes a protective cotton canvas dust bag and gift box.

May be personalized with three block initials on solid brass plate on the front flap. Made in the USA.

(Price includes one Col. Littleton Composition Journal Register – 80 lined pages)

  1. This No. 11 Composition Pocket brings my total Colonel item count to 10, so there is no further need to say I’m a dedicated customer. It exactly bridged a gap I needed between carrying around a briefcase or a journal. As with all products, it is exceptionally well made, and, of course, you cannot beat the smell of leather. I opt to call my orders in vs. online, as I enjoy speaking with Judy or the others for their personal attention and to chat a little. It’s also fun when they recognize who is calling. Becoming a Colonel customer can become addictive, akin to my love for pocket watches, fountain pens, and fine shotguns. Thanks to all of you – as usual!

  2. I have been ordering items from Colonel Littleton off and on for over 20 years and have never been disappointed in the products and their durability and performance. The composition pocket is no exception. Beautifully crafted and organized it fits my needs perfectly. I keep my iPad Pro in it as well. I recommend this product without reservation.

  3. I purchased this composition pocket as a graduation gift and I am very happy with it. It is beautiful and very well-made as with all of the Colonel Littleton products I have purchased. I am sure that it will be appreciated and used for many years to come. It also arrived in a nice, sturdy box, which is much appreciated and a nice touch. The order process was easy and Judy in customer service was very helpful and kind.

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steerhide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Three kinds of full-grain leather hides overlapping. In order left to right: Vintage Brown American Steerhide, Brown American Alligator, and Tobacco Brown American Buffalo

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
