Colonel’s Journal Register, which may be reordered, contains 160 ruled and center-stitched pages (80 sheets). Opens flat so you can write on both sides of the paper. Standard composition notebooks also work well with our journal cover.

Our polished leather is both vegetable-tanned and hand-tanned to a smooth finish. Over time, this special leather develops its own natural character and patina – the more you use this journal, the better it looks.

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Several years ago I received a No. 30 Leather Journal Notebook Cover as a Christmas gift. I have used it nearly every day since. It still looks like it is brand new. This week I noticed that I needed a refill of the No. 30 composition notebook. I ordered two at lunchtime yesterday and received them by FedEx before 10:00am this morning.
