Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steerhide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Received my document bag mere hours after ordering – I don’t think I think I could’ve driven to Lynnville and back faster than the shipping, so the order and customer experience was phenomenal. Then opening the box, revealed an absolutely fantastic bag, perfect for work and travel. I wanted something smaller than the briefcase, but large enough to tote my CL journal and Macbook and this fit the bill. Dimensions are absolutely on point and it looks and smells fantastic.
So, everyone needs to get the memo on this—Holly A. from HR is absolutely right. This is, by far, the most unfairly underrated bag in the whole collection. Yes, you take the Commander and the Saddlebag around for show (I have both). But, this little gem is the most useful bag I’ve owned. It carries everything you could need. If you are me, you will forever think you’re going to rip the bottom seam because you overstuff it (never happens). But, it’s the most sturdy, all-around useful bag you will find. It’s also one of the bags in which the copper tube really pays off—holding everything firmly in place. It’s lightweight, strong and universally useful—the utility infielder of the Litttleton collection. It also looks great in spite of all the abuse. Don’t underrate it. I bought this for a Christmas gift for my husband. I wish I had taken a picture of his face – he was just like a little kid who had gotten the best gift ever!
