No. 36 Double Portfolio

It seems like I always have a dozen legal pads going at the same time. And, then I have one or two extra ones stuck inside my regular portfolio. Out of all this disorganization came the idea for the No. 36 Double Portfolio. It may be the only left and right-handed portfolio in existence.

The leather center panel has a large pocket on one side and two smaller pockets on the opposite side with pen slots and a business card holder. A large pocket in the middle is closed with brass ball studs. The center panel is held in place with a wooden dowel rod. These portfolios are made in the Col. Littleton Workshop of vintage brown polished steerhide. Two-position solid brass snap front allows room for carrying extra documents. Diagonal inside front and back pockets behind each legal pad add to the roominess.

Accommodates standard 8.5″ x 11″ ruled pad. Comes with two Col. Littleton Memorandum Pads, which may be reordered. Front may be personalized with three initials in lower right corner.

12.5”H x 10.5”W overall closed.

Inside Center Pockets

Inside Middle Pocket – 11.5″H x 7″W (closes with two brass ball studs)

Four small Pockets:

  1. 4.75″H x 5.5″W
  2. 4.75″H x 2.25″W
  3. 4.75″H x 3.25″W
  4. 2″H x 3.75″W (Business Card Pocket)

  1. I have many of the Colonel’s portfolios but on a business trip to Birmingham, I stopped in the store and picked this bad boy up. I have my initials on everything except this one simple reason…my son is a senior in college and I will retire in 5 years. This will become his as I’ll pass it on so he can use during his “stellar” career. This is a masterpiece that fits perfect in my no 41 commander briefcase.

Life is good when you carry the Colonel’s products with you..!! #hooah #sgtrolo #howsyourconduct better with a #moonpie

  2. I purchased this piece several years ago – I am simply amazed at the level of detail, quality, and customer service that Col. Littleton continues to provide its customers! I am a customer for life!!! Thank you!

  3. My portfolio is the class and envy of even our highest executives whenever I am in our corporate office for meetings.

  4. Excellent product. I have received many compliments.

  5. I purchased my Double Portfolio just a week or so ago. I am so glad I made the purchase. With 2 notepads and multiple pockets, it permits me to be much more organized. I keep one side for all my personal projects. The other side is devoted for anything related to my job.
The quality is outstanding! I decided to not have my initials put on it so that my kids can use it when I am no longer around to use it anymore!!

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
