A lifetime investment that ages to a beautiful patina as the years go by.

Bibles are among the most loved family heirlooms.  You want your Bible to last a lifetime and live on after you to be cherished by your children and grandchildren.  The No. 2 Leather Bible Case helps make that possible.  Slide your Bible into this protective leather pocket for easy transportation and use.

Functionality and Design

Superbly handcrafted in the Col. Littleton Workshop of our wonderfully-textured, full-grain, rich Tobacco Brown American Buffalo which is dry milled for a soft, lived-in look.  It just feels good in your hand.  Trimmed in our traditional Vintage Brown Polished American Steerhide for a nice contrast.  Two front straps with solid brass ball stud closures.  To complete the look the No. 2 Bible Case is edge coated and edge stitched – hallmarks of quality construction – to give it durability and an aesthetically-pleasing finished look.

“I’ve been ‘The Colonel’ for nearly 35 years. In that time I’ve designed and marketed literally hundreds of products. I always like to hear ideas and product suggestions from our customers. Without a doubt, the No. 1 suggestion over the years has been Leather Bible Covers. People want a quality Bible Cover to protect the book most important in their lives.

“Why haven’t I made one before . . . simply because there are so many different types and sizes of Bibles out there, and I knew I needed to come up with something as universal as possible. This is a start.  All books and Bibles won’t fit; however,  you may like it so much you want to get a Bible that does fit.

“All I know for sure is if everybody buys one who has asked me to make one over the years, I’m going to be out of stock frequently.”

– Colonel

Construction & Special Features

Each No. 2 Bible Case comes with a No. 20 Memorandum Pad for quick sermon notes and jotting down verses or topics you want to research.  Also included is our No. 28 Ruled Journal Register for personal study and more extensive notes.  Both fit into the pocket with your Bible and may be reordered.  You can date the registers as you use them, save them for future reference and share your thoughts with future generations of your family.  For at-home study, our No. 10 Writing Board creates a great surface on which to rest your Bible and make notes.  See it below.

“As a special gift to you, I designed the Old Rugged Cross Bookmark to accompany each No. 2 Bible Case.  These bookmarks are strategically cut to show an authentic, scar in the leather to keep things in perspective.”

– Colonel

May be personalized with 3 block-style initials on front antiqued oval solid brass plate.

Product Packaging includes a protective cotton canvas drawstring dust bag with the Col. Littleton Cameo Logo and a Col. Littleton Gift Box.  Made in Lynnville, TN USA.

When it comes to American Buffalo, Colonel says,
“Expect a leather that is unapologetically rugged with more character, nicks, scrapes and variations in color.”

I recently purchased the No. 2 Leather Bible Case as I just started a Celebrate Recovery Step program. I wanted a case large enough to hold the 4 small guide books and a Bible/Daily devotional, but not so large that it was cumbersome to tote around. If attention to detail and craftsmanship is what you’re looking for, I’d argue that you’d have a hard time finding a product to top this. From the detailed and personalized packaging, to the perfection of the case itself, it was exactly what I was searching for. A truly fine American product that I’m proud to have purchased. If I had to nitpick, I’d like to see an added small inside pocket for highlighters, pencils, or readers. Thank you Colonel Littleton for doing things the right way.

I just received the No. 2 Leather Bible Cover. It’s beyond beautiful. I have searched for years for the perfect Bible cover. No need to search any longer. Very well made and will last for many years to come. The Memorandum Pad and Journal are a nice addition. The leather Cross is very unique with its scar. A great reminder and yes, does put things in perspective!

Great cover for God’s Word, you will not find anything better, I have looked for some time. Will fit 2 of my Bibles, though I have asked for another set of brass post to add so that larger one will fit as well.

TO ALL MY PREMIUM BIBLE FRIENDS…There is not another cover/case for your Bible but this one. It is worth every penny spent, as this is the nicest leather good I have…and I have an extensive collection. Col. Littleton outdid themselves with this! Pick one up, you will be glad you did. I am totally impressed with their customer service, quality, and product. I will definitely be buying more from Col. Littleton site in the future. Thank you for such a great product!

I just got home to unpack my Bible cover – WOW! – it’s all I expected knowing the craftsmanship of the Colonel. I have been scouring the internet for a couple of years looking for a well-crafted sleek leather case. When I checked back with the Colonel I had two to pick from. This No. 2 fits my Schuyler Quentel like a glove. No more concern when I put it in my bag or briefcase for travel or teaching on Sunday morning. Thank you, team!!

Our Story

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
