The No. 33 Notebook may well be the epitome of the take-along notebook/journal. It looks impressive in business venues, but also works exceptionally well when you’re on the go. Extremely portable and made to take everywhere, it is a compact, multi-purpose notebook . . . or really a cross between a notebook and a journal.

Colonel designed the No. 33 Notebook in our wonderfully textured Tobacco Brown American Buffalo, which is dry-milled for a soft hand and trimmed in our traditional Vintage Brown American Steerhide. Two front straps with brass ball-stud closures complete the look. An 8 ¾” x 5” pocket under the front flap holds your phone and/or writing paraphernalia.
Open it up and you have your office on the go. On the right interior, in addition to a business card and pen holder, you have a replaceable No. 20 Memorandum Pad for jotting down quick notes and lists. On the left interior you’ll find Colonel’s Journal Register (9 ¾”H x 7 ⅜”W) which contains 160 ruled and center-stitched pages (80 sheets). Date the registers on the inside cover and file them away for future reference. Great for journaling, compiling business plans, speech writing or any way it fits your needs.
The tri-fold construction of the notebook allows you to fold it to the section you want to use when space is limited, and it’s easily compatible with left or right handed users. Take it on extended flights, while waiting for appointments, to the beach, to the office or anywhere you choose to do creative thinking and writing.

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steerhide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

The No 33 notebook in tobacco brown is very well crafted. I have had compliments whenever I take it out of my bag. I have no complaints on the look or feel of the high quality leather. In terms of functionality small tweaks would have made a big difference. A pen loop in a fold of the notebook instead of one side would reduce the bulge when closed. Maybe an option where we remove the memo pad and use this as a notebook only. Suggestions for improvement but overall definitely worth the money.

The No. 33 Notebook – Tobacco Brown American Buffalo is a beautiful notebook, but of course everything Col. Littleton creates is beautiful. What makes this notebook amazing is how functional it is in such a beautiful notebook.
This is absolutely a wonderful notebook. My girlfriend opened it before I came home (I told her to) and she fell in love with it. I am so happy with it and have written in it with a nice fountain pen. I wish I would have engraved my initials on it. I have been thinking about writing my memoirs for years and a lot of times sit in the garden and have memories about my life travels through work and living abroad. The craftmanship is superb. The packaging is the best around and the personalized Thank You card from Tina was special. I don’t need anything, but I wanted this and will be buying more items from the Colonel as the quality is above all else.
