No. 33 Notebook in Tobacco Brown American Buffalo

The No. 33 Notebook may well be the epitome of the take-along notebook/journal. It looks impressive in business venues, but also works exceptionally well when you’re on the go. Extremely portable and made to take everywhere, it is a compact, multi-purpose notebook . . . or really a cross between a notebook and a journal.

“If you could just pick up this notebook and hold it in your hands, you’d probably want one even if you never wrote a word in it . . . seriously, it looks and feels that good. I promise you will definitely create a great deal of ‘notebook/journal envy’ everywhere you take it.”
– Colonel Littleton

Well-known YouTuber, Carl Murawski agrees with the Colonel when talking about the No. 33 Notebook. Watch his full review of the No. 33 Notebook above.

Functionality and Design

Colonel designed the No. 33 Notebook in our wonderfully textured Tobacco Brown American Buffalo, which is dry-milled for a soft hand and trimmed in our traditional Vintage Brown American Steerhide. Two front straps with brass ball-stud closures complete the look. An 8 ¾” x 5” pocket under the front flap holds your phone and/or writing paraphernalia.

Open it up and you have your office on the go. On the right interior, in addition to a business card and pen holder, you have a replaceable 5” x 8” ruled Memorandum Pad for jotting down quick notes and lists. On the left interior you’ll find Colonel’s Journal Register (9 ¾”H x 7 3/8”W) which contains 160 ruled and center-stitched pages (80 sheets). Date the registers on the inside cover and file them away for future reference. Great for journaling, compiling business plans, speech writing or any way it fits your needs.

The tri-fold construction of the notebook allows you to fold it to the section you want to use when space is limited, and it’s easily compatible with left or right handed users. Take it on extended flights, while waiting for appointments, to the beach, to the office or anywhere you choose to do creative thinking and writing.

Make it undeniably yours by personalizing it with three initials on the front brass oval plate. Made in the Col. Littleton Workshop – Lynnville, TN USA.

When it comes to American Buffalo, Colonel says,
“Expect a leather that is unapologetically rugged with more character, nicks, scrapes and variations in color.”

  1. Wow, just wow! This No. 33 tobacco American buffalo notebook is a thing of beauty, and a piece of vintage art that will be in my family long after I’m gone to enjoy and use. It’s even better than I expected. The Colonel and his team always over deliver & I love that about them. Set a goal in my business with this as the prize. Happy to say we both won! Time to set another goal for that Commander No. 41 in American Buffalo! Thanks! Rick

  2. This is the most beautiful piece you will ever own. Exceptionally well made, functional…..a real beauty of craftsmanship. I find myself opening it even when I have nothing to write just to look at it. I am so happy that this will be with me until it is passed on to a family member once I’m gone.

  3. This Notebook screams elegance and quality craftmanship. It really is something that you cannot wait to open and use. I am actually treating it as a hybrid planner/journal/notebook. I am still old school and use a paper planner – and the planner fits perfectly where the journal is supposed to go. I will be purchasing one of the Colonel’s other journals to use for those times that call for some writing of observations, thoughts, inspiration, etc. The quality is top notch for this product and I know it sounds crazy but I just love smelling the leather – it uplifts the senses and feels almost like meditation to a certain degree. This is my first purchase from this company and definitely not my last – excellent customer service, I love the Christian influence and offerings that exist, and the overall vibe that solid craftmanship offers. The only regret is that I did not opt to pay a little extra for the inscription/personalization on the cover. I was never a fan of that but this piece of beauty deserves it.

  4. I am a writer and I love notebooks, journals and folios. Pocket size, medium, large, I love them all. And I love leather. Which brings me to Colonel Littleton Leather Company. The place is addicting. I have purchased numerous notebooks, journals and folios. And wallets. I could not be more pleased with everything. The workmanship is impeccable. The is leather buttery soft and luxurious. The customer service is exceptional. Oh, before I forget, the No. 33 notebook in the tobacco brown American Buffalo is a work of art.

  5. Another masterpiece from the Colonel! Finest craftsmanship in the business. Look no further and get yours today!

Our Warranty

We are committed to producing quality, handcrafted products that showcase our time-honored standards of excellence and deep respect for the Americana tradition. Col. Littleton products go through rigorous testing and numerous quality inspections before being shipped to our customers. Should you receive a Col. Littleton product that is defective in materials or workmanship, you can count on us to make it right. Our guarantee is limited to the cost of the product itself. It also does not cover normal wear and tear. We feel if you just plain “wore it out,” you got your money’s worth. Also, we cannot be responsible for an item which has suffered through alteration, damage due to improper cleaning, improper use, mishandling or accident. If we made a mistake in personalizing your product or if the product is defective in materials or workmanship, of course we’ll replace it. Otherwise, personalized products are not returnable.

Our Leather

Leather is a passion for me. There are more kinds of leather and leather processing out there than you can shake a stick at. You can mold leather into just about any shape or form. You can make every hide look just alike. You can dye it green, blue or even pink. You can apply a finish, coat it, spray it or make it look slick and shiny. That’s not what we’re about at Col. Littleton. To me the beauty is in the naturalness of the leather. People always comment to me about the special “feel” of our leather and how it becomes even more beautiful after it has some wear on it. It’s all about our leather process. When you buy Col. Littleton leather goods, you’re buying, for the most part, full-grain American vegetable-tanned steer hide that has received a minimum of alteration. We don’t apply a finish to hide character markings. The way I see it, every marking tells a story and covering them robs the piece of its life and character.

Our Craftsmanship

I see a real resurgence in the country today for products made in America. Our focus is to design and create products that speak to the time-honored traditions that have made this country great such as handmade craftsmanship, authentic rich leathers and quality workmanship. There’s a nostalgic feel about the products we make . . . most of them could have been made 100 years ago and many are made using turn-of-the-20th-century methodology and machinery. Our products are true Americana; forged as our forefathers intended by people who care and take pride in making a beautiful product.
